Filmmaker Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, who is gearing up for his short film titled ‘Zero Kilometer’, has said that he never judges his work in terms of its scale and quality. He added saying that he is happy that he is getting opportunities to work in the film industry and he wants to make most out of it.

Shamas Nawab Siddiqui was interacting with News Helpline to promote his short film ‘Zero Kilometer’ in Mumbai.

Talking about his upcoming short film ‘Zero Kilometer’, Siddiqui said, “We are having a great time shooting for this film. I think the storyline of ‘Zero Kilometer’ is quite unique and interesting. I am looking forward to its release and I am sure that the audience will give positive feedback to it after watching it.”

He added, “I got an opportunity to travel to film festivals in 35 countries for ‘Miyan Kal Aana’ which I can’t forget ever. This is the reason behind making ‘Zero Kilometer’ after my feature film. I think no work is ever too small or big and good or bad for me, so I will try to follow this policy in future as well. I am happy that I am getting opportunities to work in the film industry and I want to make most out of it.”

Earlier, Shamas has directed the award winning short film ‘Miyan Kal Aana’ (Mister Come Tomorrow), which was based, on the issue of ‘triple talaq’. The film did really well in the festival circuit.

Shamas Nawab is making his directorial debut in Bollywood with ‘Bole Chudiyan’ which features his brother Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles. The film has another special actor as a part of its cast – Ranbir Kapoor will reportedly narrate the story. ‘Bole Chudiyan’ is bankrolled by and Rajesh Bhatia Kiren Zaveri Bhatia, with its musical score being done by Ram Sampath, Amit Trivedi and Tanishq Bagchi. The movie has Ravi Varman as its cinematographer and it is to be edited by Aarti Bajaj.

‘Bole Chudiyan’ is apparently set to release on a digital platform. Following the ongoing pandemic, makers of the film have chosen a digital release.

Apart from this, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui is also working on youth romantic comedy film ‘Chalta Purza’ and an action film titled ‘Gehu, Ganna Aur Gun’. Both films’ cast hasn’t been announced yet.
