According to unofficial figures, currently, 500,000 women from Saudi Arabia are from these countries. Saudi men wishing to marry foreigners now face strict rules.

According to the report, the move is aimed at preventing Saudi men from marrying foreigners, and additional formalities have been put in place before allowing foreigners to marry. It has been said that those who wish to marry foreign women must first get the consent of the government and should submit marriage applications through official channels. Divorced men will not be allowed to apply within six months of divorce.

An official said that applicants must be over 25 years of age and all other identity cards, along with the identity documents signed by the local district mayor, should be attached, including a copy of their family.
