Shreyas Iyer is out from IPL 2021 due to injury, know when he would be able to return

Fielding during the first ODI against England, Shreyas Iyer suffered a shoulder injury. Iyer was ruled out of the ODI series due to his injury and he was also ruled out of IPL 2021.

According to the news, Shreyas Iyer will have to undergo left shoulder surgery, due to which he will be away from cricket for at least four months. Sources said, he will have to undergo an operation. It seems that he will not be out of the first half of the IPL but he will be out of the entire IPL. He will take at least four months to return to the Nets.

He is in a lot of pain. In the first ODI, Shreyas Iyer got hurt in the eighth over of England’s innings when pacer Shardul Thakur dived to stop Johnny Bairstow’s shot. He rushed out of the ground, holding his shoulder and looked quite pained.

Giving an update on Iyer’s injury after the match, the BCCI had said, Shreyas Iyer’s shoulder bone had slipped while fielding in the eighth over, he has been taken for a scan. After the exit of Shreyas Iyer from the IPL, the problems of the Delhi Capitals have increased. Delhi Capitals are in trouble because the biggest question is who will be the captain of the team in the absence of Iyer.
