TVS Jupiter’s new avatar to compete with Honda Activa; take it home for just Rs 10,999

TVS Motor Company has launched a new variant of Jupiter. The company said that you can buy this model by making a downpayment of Rs 10,999. Jupiter is the company’s best-selling Scooty.

According to information provided by TVS, customers will also be given EMI facility on this scooter. If you choose the option of installments, then Rs 2,222 will have to be paid as an installment every month. The more downpayment, the lower the installment.

The new variant of Jupiter is named SMW (Sheet Metal White) and is priced at Rs 63,497. Now a total of 5 variants of TVS Jupiter will be available. The Jupiter SMW variants have a 130mm drum brake setup in the front and rear, using a synchronized braking system.

The Jupiter scooter range is powered by a 110 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that generates 7.4 hp power and 8.4 Nm peak torque. Key features include a USB charger, exterior fuel fill, 21-liter under-seat storage. In the Indian market, Jupiter competes with the Honda Activa 6G.

Honda Activa: Honda’s two models – ACTIVA 6G STD and ACTIVA 6G DLX are quite popular. The ex-showroom price of ACTIVA 6G STD in Delhi is Rs 66,799, the ex-showroom price of ACTIVA 6G DLX is Rs 68,544. The new scooter has a length of 1833 mm, width 697 mm, height 1156 mm and a wheelbase of 1260 mm. Apart from this, ground clearance of 171 mm has been given, which is the best in its segment. Scooty’s fuel tank capacity is 5.3L.
