Uttarakhand: New CM will be announced today, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will also attend the meeting

After the resignation of Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, a new CM of the state will be announced today. Today, there will be a meeting of the Legislature party in the party’s state party office from 11 am. The name of the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand is likely to be announced in this meeting. According to the ANI, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will attend the BJP Legislature Party meeting to be held in Dehradun today.

Many names are included in the race of the new CM of the state. The most discussed is the name of Union Education Minister and Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. While higher education minister Dhan Singh Rawat coming from RSS background, state tourism minister Satpal Maharaj and former BJP state president Ajay Bhatt are also included in this.

According to media reports, party leaders said that many in the party were angry with CM Trivendra Singh Rawat’s decision to make Garsain a new commissioner. BJP leaders said the political turmoil in the state began on Friday when Rawat announced Garsain as the third administrative division in the state without consulting his cabinet colleagues. A minister called it a unilateral declaration because the people of Kumaon were against such a move.

Congress leader and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat said, “To hide the nervousness of the election from the face of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for 4 years, the BJP decided to change its face. When the BJP has come to Uttarakhand, they have given an anti-development government and I do not think that in a year’s time, BJP will give a good government.

Rawat said, “The BJP decided to change the CM because he could not go to contest elections with the face of Trivendra Singh Rawat … because he did not do any public welfare work.” BJP itself admitted that they gave Uttarakhand a poor government for 4 years.

After resigning from the post of CM, Trivendra Singh Rawat said, “For the last 4 years, BJP gave me a chance to serve in Uttarakhand as CM. It has been my pleasure I never imagined that the party would give me such a huge honor. The party jointly decided that I should give this opportunity to someone else now, “he said.” I have just submitted my resignation letter to the Governor. Tomorrow the BJP Legislature Party has a meeting at 10 pm at the BJP headquarters. All the MLAs will be present there.
