The second wave of novel coronavirus has hit India, badly. The malls, schools, theatres and general movement have been shut down or restricted to essentials. People are forced to move back into their homes and curfew has been induced.

Rohit Shetty directorial Cirkus is produced by Reliance Entertainment, T-Series and Rohit Shetty Picturez. The film features Ranveer Singh playing a double role for the first time in his career, with Jacqueline Fernandez as the female leads.

The film co-stars Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma in supporting roles. It is the official adaptation of the 1982 movie Angoor which was based on William Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors. The film is scheduled for release on 31 December 2021.
