West Bengal Election 2021: Congress has released the list of 30-star campaigners for the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. The interim president of the party is Sonia Gandhi, former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Sachin Pilot, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Abhijit Mukherjee and Mohammad Azharuddin.

According to a report, West Bengal Congress in-charge Jitin Prasad was angered by the delay in finalizing the list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections 2021. IANS quoted sources as saying that Congress Lok Sabha MP Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has been authorized to take the final decision on coalition and ticket distribution.

The Congress is contesting the West Bengal Assembly elections 2021 in alliance with the Left and the Indian Secular Front (ISF). Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma questioned the alliance with the ISF. BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari has filed nominations from the Nandigram assembly seat on Friday.

The officer will face Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee in this seat. Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Smriti Irani also attended the rally before the officer’s nomination was filed. The officer left Trinamool Congress and joined BJP in December.

On the Trinamool ticket, in 2016, the official defeated the CPI candidate from Nandigram by a margin of 81,230 votes. Earlier, Banerjee filed her nomination from Nandigram on Wednesday. In this seat, the Left-led grand alliance has fielded CPI-M’s youth leader Minakshi Mukherjee from here.
