West Bengal Elections 2021: Third phase voting is taking place in West Bengal today. Meanwhile, there has been an uproar after 4 EVMs were recovered from the house of the TMC leader before voting. These EVM machines have been recovered from the house of TMC leader living in Howrah’s Uluberia.

As per media reports, apart from 4 EVM machines, the VVPAT machine has also been recovered from TMC leader’s house. BJP candidate Chiran Berra from Uluberia North Assembly constituency alleged that EVM machine was recovered from TMC leader’s house. There was an uproar as soon as this news spread. After this, a large number of people of the area started protesting from their homes.

The TMC leader’s name is being told as Gautam Ghosh. It is reported that 4 EVMs and 4 VVPAT machines have been recovered from Gautam Ghosh’s house. Through these machines, there are allegations that rigging will be tried in the elections. After the occurrence of this incident, a large number of police and central force personnel have been deployed in the area.

Gautam Ghosh has also been taken into custody by the police. After this incident, the Election Commission officials say that all these reserve EVM machines are being installed in the initial investigation, although the matter is being investigated. Officials say that soon the report of this incident will be made public.

Let us know that today votes are being cast for 31 assembly seats in West Bengal. Of this 31 seats, 16 seats are in South 24 Parganas, 7 seats in Howrah and 8 seats are in Hooghly district. On these seats, Mamta Banerjee’s party TMC won outright in the last assembly election. About 78 lakh 52 thousand 425 voters are exercising their franchise in these seats.
